As a Laboratory professional at Saint Mary’s you influence the reliability and credibility of laboratory data as well as the accuracy of patient diagnoses and the quality of care that patients receive.

Our Medical Technologists can become generalists or specialize in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, and UA/Coagulation.
To qualify for a Medical Technologist you will need a BS in Medical Technology or related degree such as Biology, and be certified by an accredited agency such as ASCP/NCA or AMT.
Our Phlebotomists collect blood samples and perform point of care testing throughout the hospital in our Emergency Department and In Patient units as well as perform a variety of support services in the Laboratory.
To be qualified as a Phlebotomist you will need to have a High School Diploma or Equivalency and be certified in Phlebotomy by an accredited agency.
